Growing Our Local Roots: Randy’s Flooring Welcomes Advance Millwork

Randy’s Flooring is proud to announce an exciting new chapter in our company’s history with the acquisition of Advance Millwork, a longtime North Liberty manufacturer and supplier of interior and exterior doors, mouldings, stair components and other building products.

The acquisition brings together two established Eastern Iowa companies with a shared commitment to craftsmanship, customer service and strong local relationships.

More Than 100 Years of Combined Local Experience

Randy’s Flooring has served Eastern Iowa since 1976, while Advance Millwork has built its own legacy serving homeowners, builders and contractors throughout the Midwest for approximately 60 years.

When Advance Millwork’s longtime family ownership began planning for retirement, preserving that legacy, protecting its workforce and maintaining local ownership were important considerations in determining the company’s future.

The acquisition allows Advance Millwork to continue growing locally while becoming part of the same employee-owned organization as Randy’s Flooring.

For us, that matters.

Both companies were built by developing relationships with customers, contractors, builders, employees and communities over decades. Bringing Advance Millwork into our company family gives us an opportunity to protect those relationships while investing in what comes next.

Investing in the Future

Along with the acquisition, plans are underway to relocate Advance Millwork into a new 124,000-square-foot facility in North Liberty in 2027.

The significantly larger facility will provide additional room for production, inventory and future growth. Advance Millwork currently manufactures approximately 250 doors per day, and the expanded space is designed to create greater production flexibility while supporting continued growth.

It represents a significant investment not only in the company, but also in its employees and the Eastern Iowa community.
